As 3D technologies developments advance, we are exposed to such a way of storytelling and experiences in an increasing number of ways. Virtual games nowadays allow us to build "dream houses" with virtual furnishings and landscapes to live lives very different from our own. Gaming experiences are enhanced with the growing technologies that allow us to unleash our creativity in virtual lives. The game "Second Life", similar to The Sims series, allows players to freely create their own virtual homes and avatar appearances. However, Second Life allows chat and multiplayer modes that further simulate real life. Being able to virtually spend time with friends or strangers in a 3D virtual environment intensifies players' gaming experiences by creating a wide variety of possibilities in custom storytelling. Rather than a game, Second Life creates more of an engaging, roleplaying entertainment platform, truly becoming a "second" life.
The creation of Kinfolk opens up a whole new world of opportunities made possible by AR technologies. Kinfolk's AR monuments defy traditional education and build fun, interactive educational experiences freely without the tedious processes of building physical monuments. While serving the same purposes as real, physical monuments, Kinfolk can create even more varieties to teaching the youth about Black and Brown icons. The countless benefits of Kinfolk can one day become a new way of learning through the convenience of AR technologies.
